The Kirsop Farm News

WEEK 21

October 21, 2009

We are nearing the end of regular CSA season, with one more week to go. The final shares will be October 28, 29, and Nov.1. After that, if you can’t bear the thought of grocery store produce, and you really like potatoes and Kale, you may wish to sign up for our special 6 week fall share program. A limited number of shares will be made for Sunday pick up at market or here at the farm. The cost will be 90.00. Call or email soon to get on the short list if you want in. Squash and onions will also likely be featured . I promise there will be no more sweet peppers. Judging by the difficulty we have been having selling peppers at the farmers market, even at ridiculously low prices, peppers are just not everybody’s favorite thing. So if they are not your favorite thing, I apologize for burying you in them, but that is the beauty and risk of CSA. You share in the bounty of the farm from year to year and this year was a pepper year, and a green bean year, and half a lettuce year, and a carrot and beet and potato and on and on and on kind of a year. We have tremendously enjoyed growing food for you and yours and us and ours and we thank you every day and every week for supporting our farm.
